Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, who first came into the spotlight after her role in ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’, has once again made strong public statements about her personal safety and living conditions in Mumbai. In a detailed Instagram post and follow-up comments, she has described a series of incidents inside her housing society in Oshiwara, Andheri West, where she says she has been living alone for nearly 19 years.
Her account mixes allegations of administrative harassment, repeated forced access into her home, and concerns about safety and privacy. She has also linked her experiences back to her earlier #MeToo allegations against actor Nana Patekar, which she first made in 2018 related to the 2009 film ‘Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss’. The court dismissed that case in 2025.

“Kitchen water cut for two months”
In her Instagram update, Tanushree Dutta described what she called a disturbing situation in her residential building. She claimed that her kitchen water supply had been disconnected for the past two months without proper explanation or official notice.
According to her post, this was not an isolated incident. She said that over the last one year, she has repeatedly seen unknown men being sent into her home for plumbing-related work. She described these visits as unannounced and poorly documented.
Tanushree said that the staff in the building keeps changing frequently, which makes it “impossible to follow up” on earlier complaints. She also alleged that when she raises concerns, the building management stops responding to her calls and messages.
Tanushree further stated that the same reason, “leaking kitchen pipes”, was used multiple times over the past year to justify entry into her home. She claimed that each time, the work was declared complete, yet similar issues kept reappearing.
Refusal to allow entry without documentation leads to escalation
The actress said the situation worsened when she refused to allow unknown men into her home without proper written communication. According to her, she clearly asked for official email documentation before any work could be done.
She alleged that instead of receiving documents, her kitchen water supply was cut off for two months. She said she has been managing her daily needs “with great difficulty” due to this.
Tanushree also claimed that the society insisted on sending four unknown men to carry out civil work inside her kitchen. This, she said, included breaking tiles and affecting the structural area of the kitchen. She further alleged that she was being asked to pay part of the cost for this work.
She added that the society even contacted her family and pressured them to allow access to her home, despite her refusal. According to her, she lives alone, which makes these situations even more sensitive.
Security fears grow after alleged incident involving police officer
Tanushree also raised concerns about a past incident involving a police officer in uniform. She said that during a previous security-related situation, a male police officer arrived alone at her home without a female officer.
According to her account, the officer allegedly recorded videos of her and her home during the interaction. She further claimed that he asked her the price of her flat, which she found highly inappropriate.
She questioned whether such behaviour was normal in Maharashtra. And, she expressed concern over what she described as lack of proper protocol.
The actress suggested that these experiences added to her vulnerability in her own residence. She implied that repeated intrusions, both by workers and authorities, had created an atmosphere of discomfort and insecurity.
Comment section reveals deeper allegations involving Nana Patekar
In the comment section of her post, Tanushree expanded her concerns further. Responding to a user, she spoke about what she believes are organised systems working behind the scenes.
She alleged the existence of “criminal organisations” that operate under the radar and may be connected to police, administration, politics, and even the judiciary. According to her, these systems are “sophisticated and organised” and make victims appear unstable while slowly breaking them down.
She went on to suggest that Nana Patekar and others in the Bollywood industry should be investigated. She claimed that many of her current problems began after her #MeToo allegations in 2018. Then she accused Nana Patekar of harassment on the set of ‘Horn ‘Ok’ Pleassss’.
Tanushree also mentioned retired encounter specialist Daya Nayak, who reportedly lives in her building and is said to have connections with Nana Patekar. Tanushree said that Daya Nayak was previously polite towards her but “became very strange” after 2018.
In another remark, she referenced Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, saying he owns a flat in a nearby building. She used this to highlight what she described as “high-end buildings” where powerful people live and influence surroundings.
